What’s My Personality Type?
I get asked pretty frequently what my MBTI personality type is. If you’re not familiar, MBTI refers to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator which is a questionnaire designed to implement a theory of the different types of personalities that humans can have that was first proposed by psychotherapist Carl Jung. If you’ve ever seen someone describe themselves with four letters, e.g INTP, that’s an MBIT result. Each letter stands for a different trait that the person allegedly leans toward. For example, the I stands for “Introverted.” These days it’s mostly used as a fun experiment in a way similar to other online quizzes and horoscopes, but at the same time, some people identify pretty strongly with their MBTI result.
