I always hated school, pretty much from the beginning of elementary school to the moment I dropped out of college. I was just unable to make myself care about most of it, and I was unsatisfied with the way everything was set up. It just felt like a mad dash to get a degree, everything just felt like a formality. Thinking back, though, a lot of the subjects and lessons I was taught are actually really interesting, and I wonder why I wasn’t able to see that at the time. In the years since I last sat down in a classroom I have found myself completely fascinated with almost every academic subject, math is amazing, history is intriguing, and I especially have come to love science. In this video I implore young people in school to try to engage with their subjects because they truly are amazing if you approach them the right way.
